Before the establishment of the Emirates for Fine Arts Society, there were numerous attempts on the scale of the Emirates. In Sharjah and Dubai, and in general, in some of the other Emirates, their were individual attempts, which were overcome with traditional realistic - registered characteristics, before the unification of the Emirates in 1972
- With the beginning of the State unification, and the spreading of the Academic and University education, and the return of the scholars to the Emirates, the Number of Graduate artists increased.
- With the return of the oversee graduates who studied Fine Arts in Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait and Britain … the idea of the conglomeration of Artists combining all graduates, amateurs and some Fine Arts professionals, with the addition of some of the Newspaper and Magazine artists, this was in the late seventies.
- In 1980, the Ministry of Labor and Social affairs issued a special bulletin for the Emirates for Fine Arts Society Under No. 1/41 Dated 15/9/1980, located in Sharjah and having a branch in Ras Al Khaima, obtaining its financial aid from the Ministry of Information and Education, an annual aid for the Society, and also the Government of Sharjah is represented in the Department of Education and Information.
- The Society is a member of the International Society for Education and Arts (Paris)
- Member if the Arab Fine Arts Union
- Participated with great effectiveness in the activities of the Dept. of Information and Education in the Government of Sharjah, Ministry of Information and Education, The Cultural Centre in Abu Dhabi, and other sectors having a cultural and artistic nature.
- The Society has an effective donation through the Artists of the Sharjah International Biennial for Arts - in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Emirates for Fine Arts Society receives all correspondences on:
